Croeso – Welcome to Our Club

We’re a friendly and welcoming rowing club based in the beautiful Lower Town Harbour, Fishguard and out of our sculling compund in Goodwick. Whether you’re completely new to rowing or have years of experience, there’s a seat in the boat waiting for you.

Much of our rowing takes place in Celtic Longboats – traditional fixed-seat boats just over 7m long, rowed by four crew members and a cox. These boats are used in the Welsh Sea Rowing League, where we enjoy taking part in races all around the Welsh coast – but you don’t have to race to get involved!

We also row in Coastal Sculls, both for leisure and for competition. Some of our members go on to race in national and international events, including Endurance races and Beach Sprints, but many just enjoy getting out on the water and building their skills.

As the Welsh Rowing Training Hub for North Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion, we support rowers of all ages and abilities to learn, improve, and enjoy the sport.

We also have Concept2 indoor rowing machines, which are available to members all year round – perfect for keeping fit or learning the rowing basics before heading out on the water.

Most of our rowers started as complete beginners and had their introduction to the club by coming to one of our weekend rowing sessions.
We cater for all ages and abilities – one of our rowers became the World Indoor Rowing Champion in her 90’s. We hold the inSport ribbon for inclusivity as we welcome rowers with ALN and different physical needs.
If you think you’d like to try rowing, more information can be found on our information page (link above).
